音楽を愛する皆さんへ。これはただのディスクではありません。そう、まさに私の幸せそのものなのです！そして、最愛の「宝物」と私の幸せが、皆さんにとってもそうなりますように。
私にとって初めてのソロCDということで、じっくり時間をかけて選曲し、フランス、ロシア、ドイツやハンガリーといった様々な国と、バロックから20世紀までの時代を巡る音楽の旅にしようと決めました。ラモーの、真珠が散りばめられ、太陽の光を浴びてダイヤモンドのように光輝く楽曲、モーツァルトの、無邪気な遊び心溢れる音楽、ブラームスの、驚くほど感動的でありながら壮大で有名なワルツの数々。そしてプロコフィエフの、幻想的でありながら自然体で優しい旋律。様々な国と時代を巡ってきた私たちの音楽の旅は、リストの『スペイン狂詩曲』により締めくくられます。この曲には聴いた人を感動の波で震撼させ、涙を誘ってしまう圧倒的な力がありますが、それはなぜでしょう？その答えは至ってシンプルです。言葉など要らない、死をも打ち負かす絶対的な愛の力なのです。
第9回仙台国際音楽コンクール優勝後、日本でこのCDを録音しました。私はずっと日本文化をこよなく愛してきましたが、今こうしてその一部になれたことをとても光栄に思います。Dear music lovers, you’re holding more than just a disc; you’re holding my happiness. Yes, that’s what it looks like! Here I share with you my most intimate, personal, and beloved things; they are my treasure. And I hope that my treasure and happiness will become yours too.
I thought long and hard about the program for my first solo CD, and I decided to make it as diverse as possible: from the Baroque to the 20th century, from France and Russia to Germany and Hungary. You’ll hear pieces by Jean-Philippe Rameau that scatter like pearls and sparkle like diamonds in the sun; the childishly happy and very playful music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; the amazing, touching, grandiose, and famous Waltzes of Johannes Brahms; and the fabulous, whimsical, and very kind music of Sergei Prokofiev!
Franz Liszt’s “Spanish Rhapsody” will conclude our musical journey through countries and eras. This is music of astonishing power, it gives people goosebumps and moves them to tears. Why? It’s simple, because this music is understandable to everyone and needs no explanation. It’s about the power of love, which conquers everything, absolutely everything, even death.
We recorded this CD in Japan after winning the 9th Sendai International Music Competition. I’ve always loved Japanese culture, and I’m honored to now be a part of it.
